Dear Never Had A Boyfriend And Hate Myself,

TeenHealthFX is very worried about you since you say that you hate yourself and that you want to die. But as miserable as things might be feeling right now, please know that there is a tremendous amount of hope that in time you can come to embrace the wonderful qualities about yourself, as well as to feel better about life in general.

Before even thinking about how to get a guy to like you, FX suggests that you work on getting you to like yourself. As cliché as it may sound, how much people like us and how they treat us is often connected to how we feel about and how we take care of ourselves. FX recommends that you meet with a therapist to discuss your various feelings and concerns. Whether it is about self-esteem issues, any negative emotions you might be experiencing, or relationship issues - a therapist can be a wonderful source of guidance and support.

Since it also sounds like you are feeling concerned about your weight, FX recommends meeting with your doctor to discuss a diet and exercise plan that is right for you so that you can reach a more healthy weight. You might find that your mood will improve if you start exercising or losing weight as exercise can reduce stress and elevate the mood and people often feel better about themselves in general when they are feeling physically fit. Weight loss issues can also be discussed with a therapist as problematic eating patterns are often connected to emotional issues.
