Dear TeenHealthFX,
I am interested in finding out who answers the questions that teenagers post on the site. Is there a doctor or nurse, or group that answer the questions? I have found the site to be very interesting and helpful. I am sure that many confused teenagers find reassurance in the answers that the site provides. I think that it would also be helpful for teenagers and partners to know that it is a medically certified person answering their often-private questions. Thanks for your help. This is a wonderful question that we are happy to answer for you and for all of our visitors who are curious as to who is giving them the advice that they ask for. TeenHealthFX is made up of a large group of individuals, all of which help in maintaining our site and answering your questions.
Teenagers and young adults e-mail their questions into our site. These questions are then answered by one of our social workers or health educators, and then reviewed by any number of people including psychologists, psychiatrist, doctors, nurses and even nutritionists. Our staff of doctors who specialize in adolescent medicine reviews each answer. After the questions have been answered and reviewed, one of our staff members posts them in FX Answers for all of our visitors to view.
The questions are completely anonymous and if we get an e-mail address or name they are deleted. Your questions remain completely private! Here at TeenHealthFX we take pride in our efforts to respond to all of the questions we receive to the best of our medical ability. We do not tell our visitors what to do, but are merely trying to offer our medical advice on their particular concern.
