Dear Lump Right Between Breasts,

Unfortunately, TeenHealthFX cannot make diagnoses over the Internet, so it is a good idea for you to see your doctor about what is going on with the lump/bump you have got between your breasts. From your description, it could be possible that you got some sort of skin infection or pimple that has gotten irritated and red, and that is causing you this soreness and swelling. However, any sort of change you notice with your body should really be checked out by a doctor, just to make sure everything is ok. If you do not have a doctor and you live in Northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 971.6475 for an appointment. If you live outside of this area, contact your local adolescent health center.

All women with breasts should get into the habit of performing a self-exam once a month, just to make sure that nothing is abnormal or changing within their breasts. For more information about how to do that, you should check out Nipple Discharge .html and ask your doctor how this should be done. It is a really easy procedure and can be a lifesaver later on in life.
