Dizziness And Fainting / Question
Published: February 12, 2003

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I passed out at work a couple days ago and I don't know why. My knees weren't locked, I had eaten normal meals and I had plenty of water to drink. Also I have been feeling weak, less energetic and always tired, even if I get enough sleep. Is something wrong? ~XXXXXX

Dear Passed Out, Something Wrong?,

TeenHealthFX is glad that you wrote, but unfortunately cannot diagnose you over the Internet. What we can tell you is that passing out for no reason, and feeling tired and listless are not symptoms that you should have to live with and should certainly have checked out by a doctor. He or she can examine you, evaluate your symptoms and hopefully recommend a course of action that will help you to feel like yourself again.

Again, TeenHealthFX recommends that your doctor evaluate you. If you do not already have a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center For Health in Morristown, New Jersey, you can call 973.971.6475 for an appointment.
