Dear TeenHealthFX,

I am 12 years old and I went to the doctor for a physical. When the doctor filled out the form he wrote down "BT DESC" under genitals. What does this mean?

Signed: BT DESC

Dear BT DESC,

This is shorthand for bilaterally descended testicles. It means both testicles are in the scrotum where they should be. If one or both testicles were not in the scrotum, that would be a problem.
