Acne & Scarring / Question
Published: November 26, 2003
Dear TeenHealthFX,
Hi! I'm a 16 years old girl, from Portugal and recently I've known a product called ZenMed that 'kills' acne problems. I don't know if it works, but I am expecting you to tell me if it does or does not. I have tried several medications to fight acne without any results. I'm about to try a skin clinic (corporacion dermoestica) a treatment called Phototherapy. I really do need you advice about which I should or should not make this treatment, because it's very expensive and if ZenMed really works I would certainly choose the cheaper treatment. About ZenMed, I would be very grateful to you if you help me.

Dear Product That Kills Acne?,
TeenHealthFX understands your asking which works better, but we do not endorse any commercial products. We are also skeptical of products whose claims sound too good to be true. We have no knowledge if ZenMed works as they claim or not. However, since you say it is cheaper than going to a skin clinic, you may want to give it try first and see if it improves your acne before going to your skin clinic.
You say you have tried several medications and that none worked. TeenHealthFX recommends that you talk to your doctor about other treatment options that could be beneficial, including phototherapy. Your doctor can tell you about the drawbacks and benefits of each.
