I am a 15-year-old male and have been wanting to go out with a girl for a long time but she keeps playing hard to get. How do I get her to go out with me?

Dear Girl Playing Hard To Get,
Your situation sounds frustrating but not uncommon among teens. Communicating with this person openly and honestly about how you feel may be a good place to start. If you haven't already, let her know how you feel and your interest in dating her. Being honest and just being yourself are often all you need to get that first date.
If she is not interested, maybe you should rethink if it is worth the effort. During your teenage years, you have the opportunity to meet and befriend many different kinds of people. Concentrating all of your efforts on one person may cause you to miss out on other opportunities!
