Significant Others: Girlfriends & Boyfriends / Question
Published: May 22, 2001
Dear TeenHealthFX,
My boyfriend and I have been together for a while and I really love him. I started to give him oral sex, and I want to do it but he never ejaculates. He has an erection and he is always hard, and there is pre-cum, but it could go on for 20 minutes and it never happens. He says it is not me. But I don't know what to do. Can you help?

Dear Boyfriend Doesn't Ejaculate,
It sounds like your boyfriend is responding to your sexual activity. Just because he does not ejaculate does not mean you are doing something wrong. There is no standard time for how long it takes a man to ejaculate and each person's body is different. Ejaculation is only one part of the sexual relationship. To learn more, click on TeenHealthFX's response to Wondering About Orgasm. Some professionals believe that too much emphasis is placed on the orgasm and to little on intimacy.
If your boyfriend is worried about this problem maybe he could write into TeenHealthFX and tell us about his concerns. If the situation does not bother him, then you should not let it affect your relationship.
If you are sexually active TeenHealthFX hopes that you act responsibly and practice safer sex.
