Penis & Testicle Concerns / Question
Published: April 25, 2002

Dear TeenHealthFX,

Hey, I am a 16-year-old male and my penis is bent in the middle. It almost seems broken. I don't know what to do and whether it can be fixed? Can it?

Dear Can Penis Be Fixed,

TeenHealthFX assure you that your penis is not broken. It is common for a man to have some curvature to his penis. Sometimes the situation corrects itself on its own. There is no reason to do anything with a bent penis unless it is causing pain during erection or sexual activity. Some women even say that they prefer a curved penis because it gives them a heightened sexual pleasure.

This is nothing to be alarmed about, but if you feel uncomfortable about it you can always talk to your doctor. Rest assured you are not in anyway disabled and should be able to have a fulfilling sex life regardless of the fact that your penis is tilted.
