Dear I Haven't Hit Puberty,Yet!,
Without having all of the information about where you are developmentally, it is difficult for TeenHealthFX to know what may be going on in your body. You mention that you have not yet hit puberty and that you have taken testosterone as prescribed by a doctor. A good first step may be to make an appointment to speak with that doctor again to address some of your concerns. Some medical conditions exist that delay the start of puberty, and if you have one of these conditions, it is important to know about it and to work regularly with a physician to find effective treatment. Often however, teenagers have preconceptions about how they expect their bodies to look and change after puberty. When the changes are not as they had envisioned, they may feel as though they have not occurred at all. For this reason, it would be helpful for you to speak with a doctor so that you learn for sure how your development is progressing and gain some peace of mind.
You also mention a penis length of 5 inches. For a teenager whose body is still growing, the average erect penis size is between 2 - 5 inches. This is an average, some males will be larger and some males will be smaller, and this will depend on the person's stage of physical development. The point here is that 5 inches is well within a normal size range. Again, if you are still concerned, try talking to your doctor. Physicians are trained to speak confidentially about topics that some people may find sensitive.
If you don not have your own doctor and you live in northern New Jersey and would like to access a full range of medical services you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center For Health at 973.971.6475 for an appointment.
