Dear Sex During Period - Pregnant?,
Although it may be possible, the chance that you are pregnant is slim. In order to become pregnant, a woman needs to ovulate. Ovulation generally does not occur in the middle of your period - but it can in some individuals. If you don't get your period as expected next time, see a doctor and get a pregnancy test.
TeenHealthFX can't tell from what you write if you used protection or not. TeenHealthFX is a believer in safer sex through condom use and birth control. This not only prevents against pregnancy but some Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Whether you are pregnant or not, since you are having sex, it is a good idea to go to see a doctor, or if you don't have one, make an appointment at a teen health center. Teen health centers can see teens for sexual health reasons without parental consent and on a low/no cost basis. In northern New Jersey, please call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 971.6475 or call your local Planned Parenthood.
