Penis Size / Question
Published: October 8, 2003

Dear TeenHealthFX,

Hey, I am 18 years old and my testicles have not yet dropped and my penis is very small and thin. I was wondering if it happens later for some men because it is very embarrassing and it has stopped me on many occasions with scoring a chick or getting a girlfriend because I am afraid they will laugh and I will not be able to satisfy them.

Dear 18 And Testictles Have Not Dropped, Penis Small & Thin,

Puberty usually starts for boys between the ages of 10 - 16. It is very unusual for your testicles not to have dropped and your penis to have shown little growth at your age. This may be due to an imbalance in your hormones. TeenHealthFX recommends that you see your doctor ASAP for an evaluation and treatment, if necessary. If you do not have a doctor and you live in Northern New Jersey, please call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at (973) 971.6475. If you live elsewhere, get in touch with your local adolescent health center or clinic.
