Dear Vaginal Discharge, Is This Normal?,
Rest assured this is totally normal. The vagina like any other organ needs a way to clean itself. The vagina uses secretions of mucus, bacteria and discarded cells in order to flush out unwanted inhabitants. These secretions are what you see in your underwear. They are normally clear or milky white in color. However, when they reach your underwear they may appear yellow because they have been exposed to the air. The amount of discharge will change daily depending upon your hormone levels. Some women often see an increase in discharge during sexual excitement. It's the bodies natural way of lubrication.I hope this has answered your question. Be sure to monitor your secretions. If you detect an odor, different color, or any kind of pain or itching you should contact your doctor. For more info see Oozy Stuff Down There, Infection?.
