The same reason your other body parts are the way they are - you were born that way. It is normal for a male to have a certain amount of curvature to his penis. It is nothing to worry about unless it is causing you pain when erect or during sexual intercourse.
Sometimes through injury or for some other unknown reason a plaque or scar forms on one side of the penis, pulling the entire shaft in one direction. If this is the case then you probably want to see a doctor.
