Dear Pubic Hair - Thicker After Shaving?,

Shaving of pubic hair does not lead to thickening of hair over time. When pubic hair first starts to grow, it starts out fine and coarsens over time. So, if you have been shaving since you first got pubic hair, it might have seemed to thicken because of the shaving - but it is natural for pubic hair to be sort of thick and curly. You will also notice your pubic hair growth extending down to the thighs over the time, which is normal and also not related to shaving.

For shaving tips, see our answer to Shaving Pubic Hair. It will help you to avoid the red bumps and infection of hair follicles.
