Healthy Ways Of Losing And Gaining Weight / Question
Published: May 7, 2002

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I am trying to lose weight but I have large breasts (40DD). Will I lose weight through my breast or will they stay the same size. People tell me I won't look right if my body loses weight but my breast size stays the same.

Dear Weight Loss And Decreased Breast Size,

Not to worry-

When you begin to lose weight, it is usually proportional which means that weight comes off pretty evenly throughout your body. So in response to your question that you will look out of proportion, your breast size will change along with the rest of your body.

Please be careful when dieting to lose weight. FX thinks that it is a good idea for you to talk to your doctor or nutritionist about a health eating plan before you start dieting. TeenHealthFX is always in favor of eating healthy and regular exercise. It sets you up for success and is a great way to live your life, while taking care of your body. Take a look at some of our other questions concerning weight loss (Lose Weight). They may help to give you helpful tips for getting into shape and losing weight the healthy way.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight if it is to feel better and acquire a healthier lifestyle. TeenHealthFX knows that peer pressure and the media can be hard not to listen to. The best advice we can give you is to try to be confident in yourself and your body. This confidence will open up more doors than you can imagine!
