Can Stress Make You Sick?
Stress itself causes physical and emotional changes in the body. For example, when a person feels stress, they can have an increased heart rate, shortness of breath, headaches, feel tired, or even shaky.
When stress occurs constantly, it can cause an increase in these symptoms, cause stomach issues, and/or possibly weaken your immune system. In addition, constant stress can have a negative impact on your mood and mental health. It can lead to feeling depressed, anxious, scared or unmotivated.
Although these symptoms are pretty common when it comes to stress, it is very important to try to get your stress under control.
