TeenHealthFX understands how challenging it is with social distancing to stay connected to friends and adjust to distance learning and not being in school. We hope it helps to know that you are not alone, and many teens are going through the same thing at this moment.
Check out our recent hot topic which discusses ways to keep calm and positive during the COVID-19 pandemic. These tips include sitting outside, eating healthy, getting enough sleep and doing something that you enjoy. By sitting outside you can get some Vitamin D which helps improve mood, and eating healthy and getting enough sleep can help prevent you from feeling overtired or feeling sluggish. Also, doing something that you enjoy also can help you feel more positive.
Since you mention not being able to see your friends, you can stay connected by phone, text, group chat or Facetime. Playing games online with friends can also be fun. You can always reach out to a teacher, school counselor or other trusted adult to talk about how you are feeling. Even though you are not in school, most teachers and school counselors are still available to help.
