Coronavirus (COVID-19): Does Vaping Increase Your Chances?
COVID-19 is still a relatively new virus and researchers are still trying to figure out who is at highest risk, how to prevent the spread of the illness, and the best treatment options available. As high-risk groups are identified, one group that is listed are smokers and vapers.
The American Lung Association explains that people who smoke or vape do put themselves at a greatly higher risk for contracting COVID-19 and having major complications. COVID-19 attacks the lungs and it is important to keep our lungs as healthy as possible. Vaping is damaging to lungs and can leave a normal healthy person at very high risk for not only contacting the virus but also having a harder time recovering.
The CDC explains other people who may be at higher risk as well as extra precautions you can take to stay healthy.
