Colon Hydrotherapy 2

Published: May 31, 2013
Dear TeenHealthFX,

Colon Hydrotherapy 2 I went to the clinic/spa to get a colonic and everything went well. When therapist pushed the lever for release I started cramping really bad. I don't know it was because they mix herbs in it and I had a probiotic implants inserted into my colon. Is this usual?

Dear Colon Hydrotherapy 2,

Colon Hydrotherapy is not a standard medical practice so there really are no definitive medical guidelines so that we could advise you as to what is standard care. Also herbs and supplements are not a regulated industry so often times it is hard to know exactly what you are taking. These and the other reasons TeenHealthFX cited is why we recommended “you avoid using this technique to treat your constipation. There is no evidence to support that colon cleansing really works despite the miraculous claims made by many over the counter products.”

To be honest it doesn’t sound like “everything went well.” If you experience more cramping or any discomfort you really should be seen by your doctor.
