Can You Explain to Me Why My Mom Will Not Let Me Stream on Twitch?

As technology is constantly changing, it is hard for parents to keep up with and understand what it all means. The reason why your mom may be stressed about you livestreaming is because it does put you at risk for strangers to watch what you are doing and see your surroundings. Unfortunately, some people trolling the internet are dangerous and even though teens know about “stranger danger” there are so many situations where teens meet up with strangers or get pressured into doing something such as sending nude pictures.
We suggest trying to make time to talk with your mom one on one with no distractions. It would be a good idea to show your mom what Twitch actually is and how it works. You could also show her the rules and guidelines for Twitch to help her better understand what it is and safety measures that are put in place. We hope this helps!
