What is Alateen?

Alateen (Al-Anon Teen Corner) is designed for “young people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Sometimes the active drinking has stopped, or the active drinker may not live with us anymore. Even though the alcohol may be gone, and the alcoholic gone or recovering in AA, we are still affected. Further, it is a place where members come together to share experiences, strength, and hope with each other to find effective ways to cope with problems, as well as discuss difficulties and encourage one another.”

Chat meetings are moderated, and teens can only chat when the adult Alateen Group Sponsors are present. At this time, chat meetings can only be accessed on a computer (rather than on mobile devices).”
