The Condom Came Off. What Do I Do?
TeenHealthFX is glad that you used a condom as we recommend always practicing safe sex to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Since sperm are microscopic and it takes just one of them to fertilize a woman’s egg, a backup method of birth control would be an important next step.
There are different types of emergency
contraceptive . One
example of an emergency contraceptive is Plan B. It works best up to 3 days or
72 hours after a failed birth control method or unprotected sex and can be
taken up to 5 days or 120 hours after. The closer you take it to the failed
birth control method, the more effective it is. There are no age restrictions
for buying this over the counter at any drug store or pharmacy.
