Is It Possible to Get Pregnant Without Penetrative Sex?
TeenHealthFX understands your concerns and even though it is a small chance, it is still possible to get pregnant. If semen was anywhere near the vagina, the sperm can still swim inside the vagina from any vaginal fluid and/or mucus. We recommend keeping track of your next period and ensuring that you do get it. If you miss your period or are still concerned, we strongly recommend taking a pregnancy test to confirm and to follow up with a doctor.
Remember your menstrual (period) cycle starts on the first day of your period. If you need more information on how to track your period, check out our Need to Know page. If you need help finding a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973-971-5199 for an appointment with an adolescent medicine specialist.
