What Does A Faint Line On A Pregnancy Test Mean?
Medical News Today explains that a faint line on a pregnancy test can still mean a person is pregnant. Even though the line may be faint, each pregnancy and home pregnancy test are different in terms of the darkness of the line. All pregnancy tests are looking for levels of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). The higher amount of hCG that is detected in urine, the darker the line may be. Therefore, it is possible that the hCG was detected, just not enough to produce a dark line. In either event, a line may mean the pregnancy test is positive.
