Testicle Pain

Published: May 23, 2019
Dear TeenHealthFX,
A day or so a go I've begin having slight pain in my right testicle. It's like a light squeeze, nothing severe. No pain or discomfort any where else and no nausea or dizzyness. I am 12.

Dear Testicle Pain,

During adolescence a lot of changes are going on in the body, especially in the genital area.  As the testicles are developing, it is common for teenage boys to experience occasional pain down there. The pain should go away over time. If the pain continues or gets worse TeenHealthFX suggests that you immediately tell your parents, school nurse or another trusted adult. They can make an appointment for you to visit with your healthcare provider.

TeenHealthFX would like to remind you that if you play any contact sports, you should always wear an athletic supporter for protection of your genital area against any type of sports injury.
