The best ways to do it is by consulting your doctor and learn healthy ways of losing weight. This is especially important since you are interested in losing a “significant” amount of weight. You want to make sure that the goal you have set is a healthy and you have a realistic time frame for losing the weight. There are many fad and crash diets that are unhealthy and fail in maintaining the long term goal of staying at a healthy weight. Often times the more radical the change the more dangerous it is and the least likely you will achieve long term success.

Learning to develop good eating habits along with exercise will lead to a healthy life style that will last a life time.
